School Counselor's Suggestion
The school counselor pulled me aside yesterday and suggested we consider taking my daughter to a child psychiatrist because of some concerning behaviors in class. She's 12 and has been really withdrawn lately plus her grades tanked this semester. I know counselor means well but I'm clueless about where to start with finding someone qualified. Anyone know a good child psychiatrist they could point me toward? This is all new territory for our family and honestly kind of scary.
