I was in the same boat last year. I ended up buying in Alanya instead of Istanbul — mostly because I work remotely and didn’t need to deal with the city traffic. Coastal life is slower but also cheaper in many ways. Plus, if you look around on Property for sale in Turkey, you’ll notice that new apartments by the sea often come with better facilities — pools, gyms, and security — for a similar price to smaller flats in Istanbul.
